Several families I know are incredibly worried about the accelerating impact of Climate Change. They have been motivated to buy electric cars or install heat pumps at home. However, I thought what of those who are equally frustrated by Government’s inaction over Net Zero, who would like to take the early steps toward negating against their household contribution to climate change, whilst building their knowledge and means to take forward the bigger steps, such as rooftop solar, electric vehicles and heat pumps.

As someone who spent ten very happy years in Bromyard and still holds immense respect for the town that supports many events during the year, why not explore whether there is widespread concern about carbon emissions and go further by showing that you do not need a fat bank balance for a family to make a difference.

I am now retired and live in Worcester, but am delighted to find that friends made and relationships built with local schools are combining to make BromyardMADShow possible. Please do join us in this mission.

Karen extends her commitment to community governance as a Parish Councillor on Brockhampton Group Parish Council, representing the council on the Bromyard Downs Commons Association. In the last local council election, she proudly stood as the Green Party candidate for Bromyard Bringsty.

Beyond her roles, Karen initiated the Bromyard Colour Walk. For more information or to get involved, email her at krock@toucansurf.com. Let's work together for a positive impact on our community and the environment!
